Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how 22PORTRAITS LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, contact us, book a session, or have your portrait or event photographed. We wrote it to reflect how the studio actually operates.
1. Who we are
22PORTRAITS is operated by 22PORTRAITS LLC ("22PORTRAITS," "we," "us," or "our"), a professional photography studio based in Miami, Florida. We provide headshot and portrait photography, corporate event photography, and video and podcast production. This policy applies to www.22portraits.com and to the services we provide through it. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@22portraits.com.
2. Information we collect
Contact and inquiry information
When you submit a contact or booking-inquiry form, or otherwise reach out, we collect the information you provide - typically your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your message or request.
Booking and payment information
When you book a session, we collect scheduling details and the information needed to reserve and fulfill it. Payments and deposits are processed by our third-party payment processors, Stripe and Square. Your card details are entered with and handled by those processors. 22PORTRAITS does not receive or store full payment card numbers; we retain only limited transaction records (such as amount, date, and confirmation status) needed to manage your booking.
Session photographs
When we photograph you at a session or event, we create photographic images of you. These images are the deliverable you commission from us and are stored as part of providing the service.
Analytics and usage information
When you use our website, we automatically collect standard technical and usage information - such as pages viewed, referring links, device and browser type, approximate location, and interactions with the site. We collect some of this through our own first-party analytics (an event collector we operate) and some through Google Analytics 4. See the Cookies and Analytics section below.
Cookies and local storage
Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage) to make the site work, remember preferences, measure performance, and support marketing. See Section 4 for details and choices.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries, questions, and requests;
- To schedule, prepare for, and deliver photography and video sessions;
- To process bookings, deposits, and payments through Stripe and Square;
- To deliver your final images and communicate about your order;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services;
- To market our services, including measuring and improving advertising, and showing relevant ads to people who have visited our site (remarketing);
- To keep business records and comply with legal and tax obligations.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use three broad categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential and preference - needed for the site to function and to remember your choices.
- Analytics - our own first-party analytics and Google Analytics 4, which help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- Advertising and remarketing - used to measure ad performance and to show our ads to prior visitors on other platforms (for example, through Google Ads).
You can control cookies through your browser settings - most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on, and you can manage ad personalization through Google's Ads Settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
5. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed to provide our services:
- Stripe and Square - payment and booking processing;
- Google - analytics (Google Analytics 4), advertising (Google Ads), and email (Google Workspace / Gmail, which we use to receive and respond to inquiries);
- Dropbox - secure delivery and storage of your photographs;
- Vercel - website hosting and delivery.
These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
6. Photography and image use
The photographs we take at your session are created to fulfill the work you commission, and we deliver them to you as your finished images. We retain copies of delivered work as part of our records and to re-supply files if needed.
We display selected images in our portfolio, on our website, and in marketing materials only where we have the client's consent or where use has otherwise been agreed. If you would prefer that your images not be used for portfolio or marketing purposes, let us know at privacy@22portraits.com and we will honor that request.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business and financial records, and comply with legal obligations. Inquiry and booking records are retained for a reasonable period after your engagement. Delivered photographs are retained so we can re-supply your files, unless you ask us to delete them. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, and we rely on established providers (such as Stripe, Square, Google, Dropbox, and Vercel) that maintain their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
9. Your rights and choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us not to use your images for marketing. To make a request, email privacy@22portraits.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. You can also control cookies and analytics as described in Section 4.
10. Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the site. When we photograph minors, we do so at the request and with the consent of a parent or guardian who books the session.
11. Third-party links
Our website and communications may link to third-party sites and services (for example, our booking, review, or social profiles). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
